Trevi Fountain was made by Nicola Salvi and was completed in 1762. It is one of the most famous and largest fountains in Rome. Trevi Fountain depicts Neptune (the sea god) in a chariot pulled by seahorses. The design is based on Bernini’s earlier project which was abandoned after the death of Pope Urban VIII. The seahorses are guided by tritons - mythological sea creatures. The legend is said that if you toss a coin with your right hand standing with your back to the Trevi fountain you will return to Rome again someday.
